Triple shortlist success for Acorn Training and its employer network at the National Apprenticeship Awards and the East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire Business Awards

In July, Acorn Training nominated one of their partner employers, Inspire Childrens Services, for the ‘Employer of the Year’ Award at the National Apprenticeship Awards 2021. Inspire Childrens Services is an established provider of high-quality support and specialist residential care for young people with complex needs in communities throughout the North West of England.

The team at Inspire work with Acorn Training to ensure that high-quality training is delivered to their employees; showcasing an investment in their own talent and creating settings with best possible support and outcomes for the individuals they care for.

Acorn Training also nominated one of our new Apprentices for the ‘Rising Star’ Award. Faith Abbott was recruited by Acorn’s Rachel Juniper in 2020 to work towards an Apprenticeship in Business Administration at Total Rewire Ltd. Over the past year, Faith has successfully demonstrated her abilities and direct impact on the business including an increased profit, enhanced customer relations and improved processes.

Both Inspire and Faith have been shortlisted as Regional Finalists and will attend the North West Regional Ceremony on the 19th October.

Acorn Training are also delighted to be selected as a finalist at the 2021 East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire Business Awards for ‘Medium Business of the Year.’ Recent growth into the area has enabled the company to create jobs, provide community support and increase social value. Congratulations to all the other finalists and the awards evening will be held at the Pirelli Stadium in Burton on 11th November.
