Specialised training and support designed for minds that think differently.

Acorn Neurodiversity provides tailored support and training to help individuals and organisations better understand and embrace neurodiversity. We offer practical guidance covering daily life skills, wellbeing, relationships, and pathways to diagnosis. For employers, we deliver expert-led corporate training that builds neuroinclusive workplaces through practical tools, improved communication strategies, and providing deeper insight.

Neurodiversity Support for Restart Scheme Participants

Our Neurodiversity Employment Coaching service offers a strengths-based approach for Restart participants, with or without formal diagnosis of ADHD or other neurodivergent conditions. Our focus is on helping participants overcome barriers to work, access appropriate adjustments, improve day-to-day functioning and navigate work environments that are not always designed with neurodivergent minds in mind.

Our Certified ADHD Coaches offer person-centred sessions around:

  • Understanding neurodiversity, including strengths and challenges.

  • Organisation, time management, procrastination, and building daily routines.

  • Sleep and wellbeing for neurodivergent individuals.

  • Navigating relationships, emotional regulation, and social communication.

  • Employability, reasonable adjustments, disclosure of diagnosis, financial management, and guidance toward formal diagnosis.

“Our training is developed by Certified ADHD Coaches with professional backgrounds in Psychology, Counselling, and Social Work. Our multidisciplinary expertise ensures that the training is evidence-based, practical, and person-centred. Each package is further shaped by lived-experience contributions, offering organisations an authentic understanding of neurodivergence and the real-world barriers employees may face.”

Learner Success Story

Ally came to Acorn Neurodiversity after time out of work due to childcare responsibilities. Low confidence and ADHD-related challenges made returning to employment feel daunting, and past experiences of overwhelm and executive dysfunction had affected her ability to stay in roles. Through coaching, we focused on understanding her ADHD profile, developing time-management and organisation strategies, and exploring strengths-based career options and reasonable adjustments.

As her self-awareness grew, Ally recognised that she thrives with autonomy, flexibility, and hands-on work. This led her to pursue self-employment, and becoming a cleaner proved the ideal fit. With support from both Acorn Neurodiversity and her Restart Scheme Employment Coach, she gained her driving licence, launched her own part-time cleaning business, and took on a pub job to keep her week varied. Ally’s journey shows how the right support can help create a working life that aligns with neurodivergent strengths.
