Learner Success Story

Toni had faced some challenges with her mental health, but with the support of Acorn Training Employment Coach, she found the help and encouragement she needed through the Restart Scheme.

Toni began attending meetings at the Acorn Training Centre, where she received tailored support, including a referral to Healthfind and encouragement to explore part-time job opportunities.

Our team helped Toni with her CV and sent it to a cleaning company in Coalville. Toni was interviewed and secured the job a week later. Initially hired for 10 hours a week, Toni’s hours were quickly increased to 17.5 hours due to her strong performance.

Toni was grateful for the opportunity and thanked us for helping her regain confidence and rebuild her life. She recently visited us to share her new contract and proudly wore her uniform.

Well done, Toni, on all your hard work and good luck in your new role!
