What is Connect to Work?

Connect to Work is designed to help people who may need additional support to enter or return to employment.

The programme focuses on a person-centred approach, meaning support is tailored to each individual’s needs, goals, and circumstances.

Participants will receive guidance to help them:

  • Build confidence and motivation

  • Identify skills and strengths

  • Overcome personal barriers to work

  • Develop employability skills

  • Access training opportunities

  • Secure and sustain employment

The aim is to help individuals move towards long-term, fulfilling employment that works for them.

How does it work?

The Connect to Work programme provides personalised support to individuals across West Northamptonshire who face health challenges or complex barriers to employment:

Each participant receives one-to-one guidance from a dedicated advisor who works with them to identify their goals, build confidence, and develop the skills needed to move into sustainable employment. Support may include action planning, wellbeing support, job search guidance, CV and interview preparation, access to training opportunities, and ongoing in-work support to help individuals succeed in their roles.

The programme is designed to support people who may find it harder to access employment, including those with physical or mental health challenges, neurodiverse individuals, and people who have been out of work for a period of time.

Delivered in partnership with West Northamptonshire Council, the programme also works closely with local employers, community organisations, and stakeholders to create inclusive employment opportunities and address local skills needs.
