Acorn Team Lends a Helping Hand at Caudwell Children Family Fun Day
Members of Acorn Training’s Business Development Team recently spent the day volunteering at the Caudwell Children Family Fun Open Day, supporting a fantastic event that welcomed more than 1,000 families and showcased the charity’s life-changing work with disabled and neurodivergent children and young people across the UK.
The team stepped away from their day-to-day roles to support the event, helping to welcome visitors, manage sign-ins and assist in the gift shop throughout the day. It provided a valuable opportunity to give back to the local community while experiencing first-hand the incredible impact that Caudwell Children has on the families it supports.
The Caudwell Children Family Fun Open Day is a free, inclusive event designed for families, bringing together activities, entertainment and information about the charity’s services. Speaking about the event, Tom Sherratt, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Caudwell Children, described it as a celebration of the organisation’s commitment to supporting disabled and neurodivergent children and young people across the UK. More than 1,000 families attended this year’s event.
For the Acorn team, the day was about much more than volunteering. It was an opportunity to work together in a different environment, meet new people and support a cause that aligns closely with Acorn’s commitment to creating positive opportunities and improving lives.
