At Acorn Training, we’re proud to be an official delivery partner of the Restart Scheme through AKG, who were selected by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to deliver the scheme across Central England.
The Restart Scheme is a key part of the Government’s Plan for Jobs, aiming to help one million people in England and Wales back into employment. It provides enhanced support for individuals who have been claiming Universal Credit for more than 6 months, helping them overcome barriers, build confidence, and re-enter the workforce.
As part of our delivery, we work closely with Jobcentre Plus to host Jobs Fairs that bring together:

- Training providers offering upskilling opportunities
- Restart Advisors delivering tailored employment support
- Community organisations offering wraparound services
