About the Apprenticeship

The AI Adoption, Procurement and Governance Apprenticeship Unit is aimed at leaders and managers responsible for selecting, implementing, and governing AI solutions within their organisation.

Learners will gain the skills to evaluate AI technologies and suppliers, make informed procurement decisions, assess risks, and establish governance frameworks that support the responsible use of AI.

The programme also explores ethical, legal, regulatory, and compliance considerations, helping organisations adopt AI safely and effectively. With businesses increasingly investing in AI technologies, this unit equips leaders with the knowledge needed to ensure AI decisions deliver value while maintaining transparency, accountability, and good governance.

Typically, candidates will be aged 19 or over, be employed, have employer support to undertake the programme, be working in, or progressing towards, a leadership or management role relevant to the unit.

What qualifications will the learner receive?

  • Level 5 Apprenticeship Unit certification for the relevant AI Leadership unit.
