About the Apprenticeship

The primary purpose of this role is to assess candidates against established competence standards using diverse assessment methods. Learning and skills assessors are responsible for planning, conducting, and documenting assessment activities, reporting decisions to learners and relevant stakeholders. They facilitate learner progression through feedback, setting realistic learning goals, and making referrals to other professionals when necessary. Active participation in the organization's quality cycle, including standardisation and moderation of assessment decisions, is integral. Assessors are dedicated to continual professional development to uphold occupational competency, typically working in their organization's environment and assessing competency in various locations, including practical vocational settings, both face-to-face and remotely.
