Safeguarding Support Officer

Safeguarding Support Officers play a vital role in ensuring the health, wellbeing, and human rights of individuals are protected across various sectors, including education, healthcare, police, housing, charities, and more. Their primary responsibility is to support statutory safeguarding duties, helping to prevent harm, abuse, and neglect while promoting a culture of safety. They work closely with designated safeguarding leads, conducting initial risk assessments, triaging concerns, and signposting individuals to the appropriate services. With a focus on preventative safeguarding, these professionals are skilled in early intervention and multi-agency collaboration to address emerging risks.
