About the Apprenticeship

This apprenticeship trains individuals to become vital frontline workers who directly engage with people in the community to improve their health and wellbeing. Community Health and Wellbeing Workers are front-facing professionals who actively support individuals by referring them to relevant services, not just in healthcare, but also in key areas that impact wellbeing such as housing, finances, education, and employment.

They help reduce health inequalities, build community trust, and connect people with local services and resources to help them lead healthier, more independent lives. Apprentices will gain strong skills in communication, cultural competency, and understanding the wider determinants of health.
