About the course
This course provides the opportunity to study a range of topics from within childcare and education. Learners will gain an increase in knowledge and awareness of the Prevent Duty and safeguarding, including online safety, as well as supporting children and young people with SEND. It does not qualify the learner to work but it supports them in preparing for their next steps, either in training or moving towards work in the childcare sector.
Learners will be supported to develop employability skills, this includes having a strong work ethic, positive attitude, effective communication skills, time management, problem-solving skills, acting as a team player, and self-confidence.
Our courses are free/fully-funded for those aged 19+ who are unemployed, not in education or training, or employed and earning less than £25,000 per year.
