Last week, Lili and Flo, two of our Neurodiversity Employment Coaches, attended the Autism and ADHD Show at the NEC Birmingham—an inspiring and informative event dedicated to supporting and celebrating neurodiversity.
The show featured a wide range of expert-led talks, resources, and networking opportunities. One of the standout sessions for our team was “Embracing Your Strengths: Thriving as an ADHD Professional”, which offered a powerful perspective on the lived experiences of neurodivergent professionals and the unique strengths they bring to the workplace.
Lili and Flo also visited a drop-in sleep clinic hosted by a Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years of experience in sleep, wellbeing, and neurodiversity. This encounter opened the door to potential training opportunities that could further enhance our support services.
In addition to gathering valuable insights for our sessions, the team made the most of the networking opportunities—connecting with other organisations and professionals. We’re now looking forward to exploring potential collaborations and signposting opportunities that could benefit the individuals and communities we support.
They also picked up some fidget toys and resources that we hope to incorporate into future group sessions to make them even more engaging.
